Job Description:

Join a dedicated team in a Mother Baby unit that handles high-risk obstetric cases, including deliveries, triage, and postpartum care. You'll work in a facility with 13 labor and delivery beds, 2 triage beds, and 14 postpartum beds, caring for a diverse patient population averaging 170-190 births monthly. The role involves independently attending deliveries, circulating in cesarean sections, assisting with catching and transitioning babies, and managing high-risk conditions such as preeclampsia and diabetes. The schedule features 12-hour night shifts, with a commitment of 36 hours per week over 13 weeks. You will need to be comfortable with titrating drips like Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin, and functioning in a unit with in-house neonatology, anesthesia, and obstetrics support 24/7. The unit emphasizes adherence to AWHONN guidelines, and experience with LDRP and low-risk deliveries is essential. Expect to collaborate with a surgical tech, patient care assistants, and staff in a well-equipped environment with telemetry monitors and EFM systems.
