Job Description:

Join a seasonal travel contract as an RN specializing in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) in Wichita, Kansas. This 12-hour day shift role runs from 7A–7P and is based on Unit Floors 2 & 3 at Wesley Medical Center. You’ll support a busy NICU team through care activities centered on neonatal stabilization and advanced procedures, including IV, whole body cooling, and participation in surgical cases such as NEC, PDA, and CVC-related needs. The unit also performs PDA ligations and uses high frequency ventilation, chest tubes, and comprehensive monitoring workflows.

To be considered, you must have at least 1 year of current acute care NICU experience, along with active KS RN licensure, BLS, and NRP. Preferred qualifications include Level IV NICU experience, prior Meditech experience, and experience traveling to large teaching facilities.

The NICU team is collaborative and supportive, with a focus on developmental support and family-centered care—so you’ll be working alongside Charge RN/CNC nurses, RRTs, and unit support staff to keep care coordinated and progressing each day. The unit uses Meditech/Neonatal Notes Manager and equipment such as Medela, Alaris, Ohmeda, Drager, and Philips/GE ECG systems.
