Job Description:

This Registered Nurse position joins a well-respected tertiary care hospital in Rochester, NY, providing essential staff support in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other weekend, for a duration of 13 weeks. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient load with a ratio of 1:5 to 1:7, focusing on patients recovering from cardiac procedures such as PCI, pacemakers, and AICDs, as well as post-MI care. Responsibilities include interpreting dysrhythmias, managing arrhythmias, providing IV therapy and phlebotomy, and operating invasive and non-invasive oxygen delivery systems. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience, hold an active NY license, and possess BLS and NIHSS certifications. Epic charting system is required. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work in a large 528-bed facility known for cardiac and emergency services, with a supportive team environment and robust clinical resources.
