Job Description:

Join a fast-paced Intermediate/Neuro-focused environment as an IMC Registered Nurse on 12-hour nights. In this contract, you’ll support a sub-specialized neurological and medical intermediate patient population, working within established unit systems (PYXIS/EPIC/SBAR) and completing an orientation that includes 32 hours of training (including an 8-hour computer class) plus two shifts on the unit.

Your day-to-day will include telemetry care, ventilator support, and IV initiation with drips, while staying current with required competencies such as ACLS, BCLS, and NIH. The unit is designed to run with structured collaboration and expects a teamwork-first approach while aligning with Novant behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff. Float requirements are part of the role—expect to flex to other intermediate areas and critical care as unit needs arise. Weekend coverage is also required (3 weekends every 6 weeks).

This assignment is built for nurses who can adapt quickly, pass required EKG testing prior to start, and meet a strongly enforced call off policy.

Weather:

Expect generally mild to warm conditions with occasional evening cool-downs. Humidity can be noticeable at times, and brief showers may move through, so having light layers and rain-ready gear can be helpful.
